My name is Keith Athay. I am a Somerset based artist, working in acrylics on canvas. My work is inspired by the colours, textures and structures in nature. Anatomy, science and chemistry all play a part in my creations. I try to harness and contain emotions of nature within my paintings and design them to invoke the feelings of calm.

I have been painting all my life but only professionally in the last 5 years. I studied Art and Design to Degree level and specialised in product design.

I feel my work is very striking and eye catching, and are becoming increasingly sought-after.

I spend a long time making sure every painting that leaves my studio is of exceptional quality. I only use professionally made quality deep edge canvases and finish with 2 coats of satin varnish. My paintings come ready to hang without framing.
