My background is in painting and automotive design. I was born in Nottingham in 1978, where I lived until I went to university at the age of nineteen. I studied art and design at college and then vehicle design at the University of Huddersfield, where I graduated with a 1st class honours degree in 2000. I then went on to study at the Royal College of Art where I gained my MA. I worked at various design studios after graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2002, including Lotus cars. Since 2003 I have concentrated solely on my paintings, which are my first and main passion. I have exhibited in a couple of small galleries around the UK and have produced commissions for bars, hair and beauty salons, restaurants and show homes; and have supplied John Lewis stores nationwide since 2004, and Dwell Retail since 2007. My work is varied, from an illustration style to figurative, through to abstract landscapes and cityscapes.
