Hi I'm Pete Rumney born in England close to the coastline of Whitely Bay a few miles outside of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
It was the Whitley Bay, Tynemouth and Cullercoats vista that first inspired me to paint what I truly believe are stunningly effective depictions of beautiful scenes in my own inimitable way. The powerful Northumberland coastline always continues to inspire my work to this day. I often take the family out to our beautiful coastline retreats bringing the camera with me at every opportunity, you never know when the beautiful moment will arrive so its always handy to have the camera at the ready.
Pete's natural ability to blend colour so indicative of his paintings, his perceptual use of light and shade, bring an amazing, deep spiritual dimension to this work. Every brushstroke of each hand painted piece has been carefully placed to generate the 3 dimensional world uniquely created by Pete.
