I am proud of the giant painting that I created to hang over a client's bed. I designed it to fill the space from the headboard right up to the ceiling and it looks stunning in situ. It was designed to work with the client's room and accessories.
I really relish the challenge of creating something unique and Request a commission from Tina Ashton today.

This work, "Last Supper" is part of a very large series ordered by a well-known art collector in Dubai.
The work is in charcoal and pastel on a 5 x 7 foot canvas. After the work was finished and very well sprayed with fixative, it was taken out of its stretching frame, then carefully rolled and sent to Dubai, where it was re-framed.
It was the first time that I used charcoal & pastel on canvas. It was a challenge for me and I like challenges.
The work was highly regarded by the collector, family & friends. This makes me feel very happy and proud.

View Maureen Greenwood's Art Gallery I had a most unusual request in 2008 to produce a painting of a Sikh Temple in India, called The Golden Temple at Amritsar. It was quite a challenge. I did quite a lot of research on my subject before I started the painting and learned quite a lot about Sikhism, so it proved to be an educational journey as well as a challenge. I had to produce this painting from a digitally altered photograph and change some of the colours, as the customer told me the colours he wanted in the background. |

For this commission I was given a photo of a coliseum in Rome. The customer told me it reminded him and his wife of a brilliant holiday they had. He asked me if I was able to use the photo as inspiration for a painting, and to bring it alive with colour taking on an abstract form. The painting was on a fairly large canvas as 48x36 inches. I worked on the background before drawing on a rough sketch of how I saw the design. I then started adding layers of colour, with shading I gave the painting a 3D feel. On presenting the images to the customer they were both delighted with the results and later told me it really brought the room alive and now every time they look at it, it takes them back. |

This piece is part of a collection created for a hotel in Ireland. The colours were comprised by using different very subtle bronzes and gold tones. I used specialist spray paints that react to light and offer subtle overlays and beautiful textures. Request a commission from Victoria Horkan today.

I loved painting this work, as the colours are so refreshing and vibrant, and the size, 169x93cm, gave me a wonderful opportunity to work in large swathes of paint. Although working on commissions can be quite restricting, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience due to the scope and size of the painting. |

One of my favorite commissions was 101 colours. The customer wanted something vibrant with texture. This has been very popular. I used 101 different colours, adding a thick paste to give depth to the painting. |

This piece is called 'Family Fun' and was painted to compliment the colour scheme in the individual's home. Black & gold and also depicts all members of the family; mum, dad, brother, sister and pet Jack Russell! They absolutely loved it. It gives me great satisfaction to know that I have created a bit of 'happiness'! Request a commission from Karen Smith today.

Last year I completed a large oil painting on canvas (9ftx5ft) for the foyer of a health centre here in Bristol. I recorded the procedure with photographs of each stage, all of which were published as a handout for local interest. I provide all my clients with a photographic record of all the stages of their commission. I call it "the life cycle of a painting". |

Last year I was asked to create several pieces for a hotel.
The brief: I was commissioned to create a series of 'coral' inspired artworks for a hotel in Sandgate that was located on the seafront. The work was to be prominent in all areas of the bar and restaurant and some of the luxury rooms in this small boutique and exclusive hotel.
