Artwork Description

Mega buildings or skyline city scape’s are paintings of geometric abstract artwork. Architecture and painting were part of my studies at college, a natural development. I encourage everyone to look up at the buildings you pass every day on your way to work or on your visit to the city centre or crossing a bridge. Observe the textural colours of different bricks and stone, metal, and glass. Shadows and sunlight or clouds also effect. My paintings are an Abstract representation of a mega City Scape were texture and blocks of colour s set beside one another build up to a thick 3D horizon. Some are scraped back to reveal the colour underneath. Acrylic paints allow for thick texture of paint to be applied and also don’t need to be varnished which will add glare and inhibit observation from any angle- which is crucial to my work
