About the artwork

A soft pastel painting of a little female chaffinch all fluffed up trying to catch some warmth from the suns rays. Soft pastel on Pastelmat mounted on board. Depicted in a fairly loose & painterly style. Image size is 9.5"x13"/overall size is 9.8"x13.3". Supplied unframed to allow for your own personal decor/taste. Will be wrapped with care using a protective sheet of glassine paper and enveloped between boards and wrapped with bubble wrap.

About The Artist

Denise Mitchell

Based in West Yorkshire & mainly working in watercolour, pastel & oil. Although I am constantly inspired by many varied subjects my work usually involves my love of nature. I studied at Bradford Art College with a traditional approach, encouraging good draughtsmanship. I then worked for a quite a few years in exhibition and printing industries. I have been selected to exhibit at various open exhibitions in the North of England such as the Bradford Open, Calderdale Open, Ilkley Art Show, Patchings Open Art Exhibition, National Exhibition Of Wildlife Art, The Society Of Wildlife Artists & more recently at The Mall Galleries, in London.
