There was space and freedom in the moment I created this piece. I let the colours unfold organically—sun-drenched golds, earthy ochres, and stormy greys coming together in perfect harmony. Only once the paint had settled did I refine the last details, adding gentle movement to the sky and the distant horizon. This painting is about transformation—a moment where light pierces through the clouds, washing over the landscape with warmth. It’s a reminder that even after the storm, there is always light. I worked intuitively, using a variety of brushes, palette knives, and unconventional tools to allow the paint to flow freely. Unlike many of my textured works, this piece has a soft, almost transparent quality, as the layers of acrylic melt into each other, creating a sense of depth and movement. The subtle interplay of light and shadow gives it a dreamlike quality, perfect for a space that invites contemplation and peace.
