Angelika's art is simply different and defines itself through diversity and different cultural influences. At a young age Angelika moved to Brazil. The tropical country with its vivid colours and multi-cultural society had a great influence on her and after returning to Europe, it did not take long before she started to return regularly to the country of her childhood. In later years she lived in New York, Cambridge and Rio de Janeiro. And it is this cultural diversity that finds expression in her colourful and dynamic images. Studying at the SLADE, London, she found her artistic expression in a kind of abstract symbolism. The dynamic forms and intuitive harmony create a pleasing tension that characterises her images.
