I am a British artist living and working in East Anglia. I was taught in the studios of Joan Wills VPSWA during the 1980s in a traditional style of portraiture, still life and landscape. Today I work extensively from photographic detail and spend as many hours seeking out that elusive image as I do painting. Like many artists today, I take full advantage of digital cameras and image processing software to create a new slant on what nature has to offer before setting brushes to canvas. My art is all about taking the strictures of the art that was taught to me and breaking those rules to see what happens.
