About the artwork
Lion fish are extremely toxic and having had first-hand ( quite literally) experience of the acute pain and hallucinatory effects of a brush with one, painting it in psychedelic colours with a trippy background seemed appropriate. The cool blues and mint green of the flamboyant fins of this toxic fish create an other worldliness to this night ocean scene This work has been in storage abroad until I retrieved it last year. The work is 580 mm x 425 mm or 22.8" x 16.8". Due to its size it is sold without a mount. It will be carefully rolled in a hard tube and dispatched promptly
