About the artwork

'Father and Son' is an original graphite pencil drawing on Bristol board. A close up portrait of a male African lion accompanied by a very small cub. Drawn with a high level of realism which took many, many hours to complete, although quite small this drawing is very attractive in its own right and would make a perfect focal point in any small room. Measuring 10.75 x 7.75 inches, this lovely African wildlife drawing is presented in a pale cream mount and framed within a 2cm square, distressed silver frame to a total size of approximately 16.5 x 13.5 inches, ready to hang.

Peter Williams

Hello from my studio here on the Suffolk coast and thank you for taking an interest in me and my art. In my gallery you'll find work created from a broad spectrum of media including graphite pencil, coloured pencil, charcoal and pastel. However I am best known and respected as a watercolourist. My wide portfolio of subject matter includes traditional landscape, seascape, wildlife, pets, portraiture and highly detailed illustration, even some still life. I've been and still am influenced by many predominantly unknown contemporary artists, people who have perfected certain techniques and styles of work which are instantly recognisable as their own. I have worked hard to learn these technical skills, experimenting and developing methods... (see more)
