About the artwork

Collagraph handmade print drawn from life on to the plate, printed on 370gsm watercolour paper. A Collagraph print is one made from a plate with different textures. My printing plate is made from mounting board. The process is a combination of intaglio and relief. I Collaged my plate with different materials I used PVA glue to stick them on. Any PVA is then sealed with shellac. The plate is then coloured with stay open inks. I will pack this print flat between layers of cardboard. This print is sold unframed.

About The Artist

Rory O'Neill

I am a Barnsley Illustrator/Artist represented by Graham Cameron Illustration (GCI). I create a variety of illustrations for many educational book publishers. I attend two Life drawing groups and I have just recently started printmaking. My work is mainly figurative. I deal primarily with empathy in my paintings and I try to evoke mood and atmosphere by my use of line, colour and texture, sometimes going in and out of focus, flitting from one thought to another.
