About the artwork

An one off original acrylic on canvas. This artwork was inspired by an aerial view when travelling to the far east. Fishermen boats were ready to coming into the shore after a day at sea. It has been painted on deep edge canvas with acrylic. The four sides are left white for a contemporary look. It is signed on both front and back of artwork and it is ready to hang.

About The Artist

Jo Ellis

I was born in Hong Kong and moved to the UK in 1970. I have been travelling around the world ever since, living in New Zealand, Sudan, Tanzania, Pakistan, South Korea, Egypt and Bosnia & Herzegovina. I am now living in London with my family. I studied traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy in Hong Kong and Korea. I then studied art & design in London. I spent most of my life travelling and living in so many diverse places. This experience had had a strong influence on my outlook on life which i try to express in the different styles of my works. I have held solo exhibitions in Seoul, Cairo, Alexandria, Sarajevo, Florida and New York and also exhibited in London at The Mall Gallery, Alexander Llewellyn Gallery, Chelsea Old Town Ha...
