About the artwork

On the painting the compass, bottom right shows, is Hyperborea is a region that lay far to the north pole. This abstract shows a very old map where Hyperborea is divided. The two main people, from both sides are shown to be made out of solid material, however they are done in warmer colours such as orange and red to be remembered fresh in our minds. Furthermore linking to the man is fighting for a his life and freedom at the top of the painting. He is shown in the darker colours which make you think about the hard, unpleasant time the man going through, trying to find peace. The woman lying in the middle of the abstract is what Adam and Eva was trying to produce: beginning of a new life. Where painting is trying to say that when something finishes something new begins. Unfortunately the Hyperborea disappeared, in other words sank to the bottom of the ocean where it could not be found.
