This painting is inspired by my bedroom wall, we moved last year and just for fun I decided to paint a jungle scene on our wall and ever since then I've wanted to do a series of paintings....this is the first. It's not quite the party in the jungle yet it's the planning stage, they've put up the lights and have chosen their preffered hats or crowns and our now discussing the food. Victoria has led a diversely creative life after achieving a degree in metalwork and jewellery she then began a career in the prop making industry where she enjoyed making costume props on Star Wars and Gladiator, fabricating crazy critters at Jim Henson’s Creature Shop in Camden and painting Disney characters to go in their flagship stores around the world. She now works at home in her garden studio with her three dogs for company. Victoria has a great fondness for animals and is fascinated by the humour and personality they show through their body language and expressions.
