About the artwork

This is an atmospheric painting showing the Lavender fields which are growing way into the distance. You can almost smell the Lavender in the early evening sun. I painted this view when I was on holiday. I was so taken with the breathtaking view I was itching to put it down in paints. This painting is painted on a deep edge canvas and is ready to hang.

About The Artist

Patricia Clements

Patricia, an award winning artist, gained a scholarship to The West Sussex College of Arts and Crafts and went on to study painting and life painting at The Central School of Art. She was influenced by Bruce Barnden, Art Master at school. then by Lesley Cole, Head of Painting at the The Central School of Art and lastly by the French Impressionists. Working in oils and latterly pastels, producing still lifes, landscapes and nudes of scenes that range from Twickenham to St.Tropez, Patricia's resulting work reflects the vibrant colours and brilliant light of the South of France.
