Digital art remains a large interest – there is so much you can do with this medium and, while people seem to believe that the computer does it for you (OK Ai does but I don’t use it) digital is just another medium to use and the same artistic decisions and skill are needed to make digital art works. The silhouettes of Palm Trees are a great vehicle for experimenting with digital art techniques, I find that I can add atmospheres an bring out the emotional aspects of the individual trees and generally play with print making. I want to show the wonder of real plants and using photography as a medium here seems the best idea. I attended art schools in Surrey and London and have an MA in digital design from Portsmouth University. At the Central school in London, I was lucky to win the RSA ‘Souvenirs’ travelling bursary which I used to travel to the USA and Mexico and have been back many times. I have had many exhibitions in London and the countryside specializing, before I came to Dorset, in flowers and 19C architecture – see Bridgeman art library. I have had 2 personal exhibitions in Dorset and have taken part in many group ones. Although I have sold several oil paintings I much prefer to work in watercolour.
