About the artwork

The sheer wildness of Scotland,untainted by man-made structures, the clarity of the colours due to recent rains inspire me to depict these rolling mountains in oils. The 100% pure cotton stretched canvas has been gesso primed and the painting lightly varnished with Winsor & Newton Picture Varnish. The sides are painted and the work can be hung unframed. Picture hanging fittings are in place. Carefully packed and dispatched promptly.. All my work and designs are fresh and genuinely original. All paintings are clearly dated and signed on the front bottom right corner.

About The Artist

Elizabeth Sadler

Apart from an 'A' level in Art, I am self-taught. I have painted throughout my life and it is a source of joy and constant exploration for me. The passion I feel for my work is expressed through my diverse subject matter and vibrant colours. Growing up in a small village in Cambridgeshire I spent long days walking and cycling out in the fields and lanes, observing the rural and rather wild world I inhabited. I graduated with an LLB honours Law degree in London, 1979-82, where I was able to spend time in galleries, attending expos, and enjoying the buzz of the city. Emigrating to Seychelles in 1983 I embarked on a career in art by default as the post I had been promised did not in fact exist! I had my first one-man expo of botanica... (see more)
