About the artwork

'Old fashioned roses' is a large contemporary painting on heavy paper, created with Acrylic Gouache paints. It's a lively modern artwork, using plenty of glowing colours in yellows, greens, browns, orange and loose expressive brushstrokes. The size of the work is 28 inches x 21 inches (71 cm x 53.5 cm), and it will require framing. I've shown how it might look when framed to give an idea. About The Artist

Jacqueline Taylor

I studied Graphic Design at Art College, and have always painted in any spare time I've had. I have a love of Abstract Art and find it extremely cathartic to explore thoughts and emotions - getting feelings down on paper and canvas. Inspiration comes from many sources, people's reactions, a song on the radio, memories etc. Spontaneity is important to me, and I find using mixed media brings an edge of excitement and passion to my works. I love everything about the creative process..
