A row of poplar trees lines one of the fishing ponds at Lavacourt in this black and white widescreen view in the ile-de-france north west of Paris. The church at Vétheuil on the opposite bank of the River Seine caught my attention by peeping through a gap in the avenue of poplar trees. This was a location that was used as a subject many times by Claude Monet and his impressionist colleagues along Seine Valley. Printed by Kernow Fine Art in Cornwall, each print comes with a certificate of authenticity, signed and numbered on the front in pencil together with the image title. Prints will be sent in a tube for safe and easy shipping via a tracked service from La Poste. First signs of an artistic calling appeared during family holidays on the North Norfolk coast in the 1970’s. In the mid 1980’s I went on to study Photography, Film & Television at Plymouth College of Art and Design which introduced me to the wonderful world of animation. The next 10 to 15 years were spent in various animation studios in Cardiff, Manchester and London working largely on children’s TV productions and half hour specials. To help complement my animation work between productions, I was able to continue my photography work thanks to commissions for travel brochures & hotels in Turkey & Northern Cyprus.
