About the artwork

Raw Emotions is a powerful and striking A2 sized work, with a beautiful mix of colours on thick good quality paper. Just like it's title I felt very emotional painting this work, being swept up in the moment, with creative juices flowing. I have used mixed media (acrylic paints, inks, pencils etc) to harness the expressive nature of the piece, using bold strokes coupled with more intricate area's of detail. The colours used are reds, pinks, yellows, orange/peach, grey, white and a dash of blue. It is 42cm x 58cm, and it could be hung both horizontal or vertically as it seems happy both ways. About The Artist

Jacqueline Taylor

I studied Graphic Design at Art College, and have always painted in any spare time I've had. I have a love of Abstract Art and find it extremely cathartic to explore thoughts and emotions - getting feelings down on paper and canvas. Inspiration comes from many sources, people's reactions, a song on the radio, memories etc. Spontaneity is important to me, and I find using mixed media brings an edge of excitement and passion to my works. I love everything about the creative process..
