This vibrant fiery red poppy collage was created in 2018. Inspired by the Centenary of the end of the 1st World War. In recognition of those who lost their lives. These poppies are a symbol of remembrance and hope. This collage is made entirely from carefully torn pieces of recycled paper. The flowers are a variation of mixes and blends of reds and oranges with striking black centres.The multi layers of paper give it a wonderful texture. It would be a beautiful addition to any home a real conversation piece. The size of the Art is 11 x 16 ins with the frame 16 x 19 ins. I am a self taught collage Artist and Illustrator living in West Yorkshire. For as long as I can remember I have been interested in Art and crafts.Over the years I have tried my hand at many different outlets for my creativity from painting,jewelry making,decoupage to paper cutting and many other things. In 2016 I was privileged to be asked to Illustrate a book for a friend titled Errols` christmas which was published by wolf publications. In 2018 I had surgery on my foot, having 12 long weeks to recover I was looking for something new to try and was inspired by some wonderful collages I found.
