I was born and educated in Dublin and came to London in the sixties. I have always loved painting but only took it up later in life due to personal circumstance. I gave up work in the late `80s to paint and spent over eight years studying. Following that I set up art classes for adults and taught from home. I enjoy painting in many different styles and work in oil, acrylic and mixed media. I love colour and working in mixed media using different textures to create exciting effects. My travels in Europe inspire me with ideas for new paintings, particularly the amazing light you get in the Mediterranean countries.
