I’ve always had a strong interest in painting and drawing. When I was younger it was a way of me expressing myself, responding to things that made an impression on me. Brought up on the coast, nature, the sea and the landscape was never far away and I kept coming back to it as an inspiring subject to explore through my art.I studied at Blackpool and the Fylde Art College, completing a Foundation course in Art & Design but I am largely self-taught. After a while of working in other fields, I returned to fine art painting full time for the last 15 years and running my own gallery online.
