About the artwork

Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, I believe, are one of the most painted places here along the Dorset coast and it is so worth it. The warm glow of the setting sun over Durdle Door, gives this painting an especial bright feel. This 8’x8’ square little painting might bring back memories of togetherness, or of warm summer days. About The Artist

Marja Brown

Born in Holland, I studied art in College but became a potter for 25 years before picking up the brush again. I feel I am mostly self taught through my love and enthusiasm of painting the world the way I want to see it. The beautiful country side of Dorset offers me unlimited potential to express my love for painting landscapes and seascapes and gives me the opportunity to work with many different colours. and styles. When I paint I find I can lose myself in each painting anew, large or small, and I hope they bring as much joy as I have found in painting them.
