About the artwork

Pure encaustic, hot wax, and pigments on OSB I present one of the iconic events of the upcoming American elections through the symbolism of chess in this painting. The "Black Horse" is a symbolic representation of unpredictability and uncertainty. In this work the world of chess meets political intrigue. Much like a knight on the chessboard, the black horse embodies the surprising and unconventional moves that can change the course of the game. This artwork invites the viewer to contemplate the delicate balance between strategy, power, and chaos, echoing the complex landscape of modern politics. In recent years, I have been using OSB as the basis for my encaustic works for two reasons. One is that these raw materials are made from recycled wood, and the other is that I like the industrial effect texture that this raw material gives. Every work is already different due to the pattern of the wood, so no two paintings can be the same. This work will be delivered with Care Instructions for my encaustic paintings and a signed certificate of authenticity. Carefully packaged and tracked shipping.
