The Secret Garden In a secret garden, tucked behind ivy, bright flowers bloomed, and butterflies danced. A waterfall sparkled like a rainbow. Here lived a shy rabbit, Fluff, who jumped at every sound. One sunny day, a gentle fox named Fawn wandered in, her fur adorned with daisies and roses, blending with the garden’s beauty. Fluff froze, heart pounding, fearing danger. But Fawn only sat by the waterfall, watching butterflies flutter. “Don’t be scared, little one,” she said softly. “I’m just here for the flowers.” Fluff, curious despite her fear, peeked from behind a rose. “You’re covered in flowers,” she squeaked. Fawn smiled. “I love this garden—it’s peaceful, like you.” Each day, Fawn returned, weaving flower crowns and sharing tales of moonlit meadows. Fluff grew brave, hopping closer to share clover. One day, Fawn taught Fluff to weave a tiny crown of daisies, giggling together as butterflies swirled around. That evening, under the shimmering waterfall, Fluff nestled beside Fawn, her fears forgotten. “You’re my friend,” she whispered. Fawn’s tail swished happily. My paintings are usually bright and the mediums I like are Acrylic and Oil. Thanks for looking at my art. Blog by Maxine Harris: There is a kind of quintessential charm found in Suzette’s paintings. The themes of her love for forests, houses human interaction are sipping through her charming and exquisite approach. She paints them with the sense of humour and with deliberate choice of the primary colours, red, blue and yellow (and their variants). Her artworks remind us of childhood. Suzette’s paintings depict her chosen subject of the 'lost Britain,' “the way it used to be,” which has been popularised in programmes, such as Miss Marple, and The Last of the Summer Wine, showing British countryside, funny Britain, and simple Britain....
