I live on the edge of the magnificent Yorkshire Moors and ‘The Perfect Day’ was painted on Baildon Moor, within walking distance of my house. I did indeed literally walk to the location fully laden with all my equipment, to work on the painting. It is important for me to complete this type of work on site, so no studio ‘touch up’ work was carried out. If you can’t really ‘see’ and indeed experience Mother Nature in all her naked glory, how can you possibly paint her? The artwork is framed and ready to hang. The frame has been repainted in a durable ‘Cotton White’ finish and measures 24.5 x 28.5 inches.The Perfect Day

Born in Leeds, I studied art on the Pre BA Art & Design Foundation Course at Jacob Kramer College in Leeds and received a BA (Hons) Fine Art Degree from Newcastle Upon Tyne Polytechnic. After completing my Degree and finding that my creative well was dry, I hung up my beret and smock and took a P.G.C.E. to become a teacher of Art…. Many years later a chance visit to Paris provided the inspiration to set myself up in a successful business partnership producing high quality recreations of Impressionist master-works. My slumbering muse had been awoken! I now exclusively produce my own original paintings, but the legacy of Renoir, Degas and Monet is very much alive!
