About the artwork
This is an older painting that I have reworked, I wanted to add vibrant colour and increase the intensity of the tones. I am very satisfied with the way it looks now. The Kent coast is known for its fabulous sunsets and Whitstable is certainly no exception. With a low tide on a summers evening the view is spectacular and of course inspirational, the work was created by applying layers of colour with a palette knife to create texture and depth.
