Born in Wales and brought up in England, Alan worked as a graphic designer for over 30 years in both editorial and corporate design. Opportunities allowed him to work around the globe as a designer – London, Tokyo, Vancouver, Toronto, and Washington DC. Returning back to Canada in 2010, Ottawa was home for awhile, before a jaunt to northern British Columbia and Alberta. He now lives back in Britain with his husband. Self-taught, he has taken his love of graphic design, colour and texture incorporating many elements into his painting, including a passion for “man’s best friend” in all it’s sizes and shapes.
