About the artwork
Inspired by recent walks, I wanted to capture the stillness and palette of nature's spectacular Autumn display. The title is also a line in an iconic 1970's hit single, which was re-worked by Gary Barlow in 2012. The original melody of the song, has the ignominious claim to fame as being used as a jingle for a Lego commercial in 1969! Jeff Wayne the writer, wanted to use it on his ground breaking musical version of 'The War of the Worlds', selecting Justin Hayward, of The Moody Blues, to sing it because, Wayne said, he "wanted that voice from 'Nights in White Satin''. The song 'Forever Autumn' reached #5 on the UK Singles Chart in August 1978.You Always Love This Time Of Year
