About the artwork
Within all my abstract artwork I wish to embody both movement and grace. For the energy of the painting to change with each curve of the next brushstroke. Allowing each piece to take on its own unique rhythm. The beauty of this abstract painting for me is the manner in which the two elements that make up this modern canvas work in harmony, whilst keeping their individuality. This perfect balance and dynamic is one that once found in any relationship within our lives can be incredibly rewarding. Katie Daw
Katie has studied many different art forms during her time in education and beyond, from photography to sculpture and many disciplines in between. She also spent a number of years working at an art gallery which she feels was an invaluable experience and an education within itself. She enjoyed being introduced to new styles of work and fascinated to see how a person would be drawn to a particular piece of art, as well as how different two people’s interpretation of the same piece of art can be.
