Sophie Penstone
I have been living in Cornwall for the past 14 years. I am not right by the sea but we have a fantastic view of St Michael's Mount. Living inland, surrounded by my favourite subject of trees, I am inspired to try and paint every day. My work is inspired by nature and light and shadow and the interaction between these elements. Integral to my work is the use of colour. I try to replicate the strength and intensity found in nature and do not shy away from it. Over the last ten years I have exhibited successfully throughout the South West as well as nationwide in group and solo shows.
