About the artwork

An abstract tree inspired artwork created using deep texture and a palette of purples, blues and gold colours over a pale duck egg base. I layer the colour in washes and glazes, allowing drying time between. This results in a deep saturation of colour in some areas and a translucency in others. Highlighted with gold iridescents and metallics. Ready to hang. This is a ‘Made to order’ artwork and will be based on the image shown. It is painted to order in about 3-4 weeks and will feature the same texture style and colour palette and will have similar characteristics as the artwork shown. About The Artist

Caroline Ashwood

I was born in 1970 in Yorkshire where I spent many happy childhood hours painting and sketching in the bluebell woods near my home. Having shown a talent for drawing and creativity, I received formal art training as a graphic designer and a successful career in advertising with agencies like M&C Saatchi in London. Encouraged by a popular following and patronage for my artwork, I decided to paint full time in 2002. My work is featured in many private collections worldwide and she has exhibited in galleries and shows throughout the UK. I work as a full time artist from a yorkshire art studio where I get physical with the paint and canvas. My work is visceral and spontaneous. When I paint, I rely entirely on my instincts.
