About the artwork
'Turner's Dog' is an original mixed media drawing created by using coloured pencils, pastels and a little ink on Pastelmat card for which I used a reference photograph taken locally by Emelda Gaze. I wanted to create a tumbling big sky reminiscent of Turner, hence the title but the star of the composition is Jeff the dog who found his way aboard an abandoned boat on the local Suffolk marshes. Measuring approximately 11 x 18.5 inches this artwork is presented in a white mount within a richly coloured yew wood frame with bright gold sight edge to a total size of approximately 17.5 x 25.25 inches, ready to hang.

I have worked hard to learn these technical skills, experimenting and developing methods... (see more)
