Lovely bakery on Ecclssall Road in Sheffield , UK ,with lovely welcoming people offering delicious treats.I spent lovely moments on Sundays there and could not resist to do some sketching and then this painting.In 2015 it was featured in the Ann Kullberg CP' magazine supplement.

About The Artist

Marilena Balint

Drawing and painting have always been an important and existential part of my life. As a young person in a closed society where self-expression was highly restricted and fear for daring to dream was dominating, colouring and drawing were my favourite toys. They stimulated my imagination, enabled me to express myself and helped me to develop as a young person. My paintings have been accepted to national exhibitions and, as I was keen to help others immerse themselves in the world of colours, I organized small, local workshops within my community. At university, I made my living by selling paintings and other artworks such as design dresses. Life always kept me away from where I would want to be in an art journey, but slowly and steadily I go... (see more)
