About the artwork

This is an original acrylic painting on canvas which measures 40 x 40 x 2 cm. It features a bluebell wood painted in an impressionistic style. I love the Spring time when the bluebells come out and like to stroll in woods carpeted in these beautiful flowers. The sides are painted so could be hung as it is, or would look great framed. About The Artist

Janice MacDougall

I am a full time artist based in County Durham in the North East of England. I paint in acrylics and watercolours, and also do textile art, working with felt and fabrics which I hand and machine embroider. I am inspired by nature, colours and textures, and like to carry my camera around with me to snap something that inspires me. I have completed a diploma in stitched textiles and design, and the Make it in Design, Surface Pattern Design course. I have exhibited my work in County Durham, North Yorkshire and Jersey. I am represented by Image by Design Art Licensing Agency
