About the artwork
A contemporary semi abstract painting of bright red sunrise sky and a full moon on a small panoramic canvas. The recent amazing sunsets and sunrises have inspired me to go back to my favourite red and yellows in these paintings. The picture continues around the side of the canvas giving a 3-D effect.

Marja Brown
Born in Holland, I studied art in College but became a potter for 25 years before picking up the brush again. I feel I am mostly self taught through my love and enthusiasm of painting the world the way I want to see it. The beautiful country side of Dorset offers me unlimited potential to express my love for painting landscapes and seascapes and gives me the opportunity to work with many different colors which I find very healing. When I paint I find I can lose myself in each painting anew large or small. For the last 7 years I have exhibited my paintings in Bournemouth gardens throughout the summer, and I also exhibit at various other exhibitions around Dorset and you can find me on several online galleries.
