CELIA LEWIS has lived all her life in Surrey and studied life and portrait charcoal drawing with Signorina Simi in Florence. she has She is a member of several local Art Societies and has held various solo and shared exhibitions. She has also exhibited with the RI, RWS and The Society of Women Artists in London and for the first time this year The Royal Society of British Artists at the Mall Galleries. She has written and illustrated several books for Bloomsbury Publishing – among which An Illustrated Country Year – nature uncovered month by month was published in September 3013 and is an amusing and informative anthology of nature through the year. It contains watercolours and linocuts, the inspiration for which she finds in the beautiful Surrey countryside around her.
