About the artwork

This monoprint is part of a small series on the theme of flora and fauna. I have created 20 linocut printing blocks of individual plants and animals and used them to try and replicate the layered nature of the hedgerow. The images are each made from a unique combination of these linocut blocks inked up and printed. Each is quite different from the others, the choice of blocks used, the positioning and the colours of the ink make each monoprint a unique creation. I hope that each conveys my love for nature. Printed onto Fabriano Paper 250 gsm. using Caligo safe ink (oil based) Paper sized : 56 cm x 76 cm My linocuts are handmade from start to finish, hand carved, rolled and handprinted, as in the nature of linoprints and the handmade process they may have small variations. This I feel is part of the charm of printmaking and makes each print into both a unique artwork. All orders will be processed and shipped within 3 business days.
