A work of my abstract line. I do nature paintings, kind of half-abstract and also non-objective works like this one. Because of its colours of black and red (and of course white too) I call it "Lipstick and Mascara". The actual painting is 20 x 20 cm / 7.9 x 7.9 in. I sell it with a mat. (see photographs). With mat the work is 30 x 30 cm / 11.8 x 11.8 in. Please note the mat is white, unfortunately it comes across with a slight bluish tint. I apologize for that. Signed on the back. Varnished with a professional matt spray varnish with UV protection. This artwork is sold from Germany. ARTIST STATEMENT: Life is a largely subjective experience; but that subjective experience is my bridge to the objective world. And it’s this synthesis of the two that I am trying to capture. INSPIRATION AND PROCESS: I love experimenting and want to give my works an individual expression. I have two lines of work: I love painting almost (but not quite) realistic, somewhat utopian, nature images and on the other hand I really enjoy doing non-objective/abstract art. I am inspired by the beauty and power of natural phenomena, the mystery of nature, its colors and forms. Every painting is a one-of-a-kind work in which I try to combine feeling and thought.
