Its rare for me to paint an English landscape - this is one of the few. Once again its an autumnal sky - late afternoon - as the sun bursts through the clouds. Basing Park is in the South Downs National Park, and literally next door to my Hampshire home. Every time I leave the house I drive past this stand of oak trees, and every time I'm irresistibly drawn to the view In its exhibition frame the painting measures 23" x 27" It is a silver/black frame with an internal white slip frame. Please note - this painting is framed by the artist, for exhibition purposes, and NOT by a professional picture framer. You buy the painting alone and the frame is yours, if you want it, totally free. As it is free the frame does not form part of the sales contract and no discounts will be given for the removal of the frame or damage it may have sustained whilst on exhibition. Hi there, and thank you for taking the time to look up my profile, and presumably, one or more of my paintings. My name, you'll have noticed, is Steve Bonner and I'm a professional artist, a painter. I'm based in the UK, in the South of England, although much of my work in recent years has focused on the Caribbean, Barbados in particular. I'm happiest spreading oils around a large canvas, but just as likely to be found zoomed in on an illustrative little watercolour. I'm a figurative painter, some might say a realist, although I would dispute that - all my work has an element of impressionism.
