About the artwork

QUIETNESS AND PEACE As this year was so different to what we were used to Family time was preferred Games were played and happy laughter heard But then after all, a quiet and peaceful moment Like a walk in the park, and singing in the dark A luxury to the soul And all of it together makes you whole You would not wish it to be different As eventually the wagon of life, which you wanted to stop Had slowed down, and with that one has not even frowned. Misery is part of the mix but as sleep and home life Made one content Dealing with it is a small sacrifice And, after all, life also has it’s price. So, with a yellow coat and red boots Nature is to be enjoyed And worries about life’s fraternities, will be dealt with later. A small oil painting with texture and rich colours. Varnished and framed. Ready to hang. Thanks for viewing.

My paintings are usually bright and the mediums I like are Acrylic and Oil. Thanks for looking at my art. Blog by Maxine Harris: There is a kind of quintessential charm found in Suzette’s paintings. The themes of her love for forests, houses human interaction are sipping through her charming and exquisite approach. She paints them with the sense of humour and with deliberate choice of the primary colours, red, blue and yellow (and their variants). Her artworks remind us of childhood. Suzette’s paintings depict her chosen subject of the 'lost Britain,' “the way it used to be,” which has been popularised in programmes, such as Miss Marple, and The Last of the Summer Wine, showing British countryside, funny Britain, and simple Brita...
