About the artwork

..I am constantly looking for the emotion, movement, expression, harmony and the ''moment character'' in a painting . Achieving the fine balance between these components is the challenge….. A painting with its own unique personality. The style of painting is impressionistic, with a hint of abstract realism. The painterly translation suggests rather than define the subject, using just enough hard edges to bring the viewer into the painting, employing soft and lost edges in the process without killing the imagination.....

But I also sometimes explore the concept of abstraction. Often a narrative theme is explored. My creative process has been informed by my travels to different parts of the world, from the quiet contemplati... (see more)
