I painted this after a day out sketching and taking photographs in the beautiful Rottingdean area near Brighton. The seas were moody and rather stormy and the sailing boats looked vulnerable and surreal. The Seagulls wheeled and floated overhead, always a part of the seascape around these parts. I am an English Artist living in the beautiful West Sussex countryside. I have been painting and doing commissioned Portraits for most of my adult life. Notable Portrait work has included series commissions by the CBS TV network in LA and recently a large canvas of the rapper Drake with twenty people, for his LA home. I grew up in Africa where my twin passions as a child were Wildlife and Magic! Later in London I became the official "Flower Fairy" Artist for the prestigious "Dragons of Walton Street" for eight years before leaving to follow my own paths in Art.
