About The Artist

David Lyon

I'm a fine artist based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. I studied Art at Bolton College of Art and Design, before completing a BA (hons) in Graphic Design at Leeds Polytechnic. I went on to build a career as an illustrator and designer and began exhibiting my paintings and drawings in 1997. I'm inspired by organic shapes and forms – references to the natural world often spark my interest. Ideas connect, breed and grow, transform. I continue to explore my favoured media – acrylic, oil pastel, charcoal and crayon – in my studio in the centre of Leeds. I've had many solo and many selected group exhibitions in the UK with many pieces included in private collections. http://www.davidlyonart.co.uk
