Since completing a fine art degree in the 1980s I have been painting and drawing taking inspiration from my work as an art therapist within various psychiatric settings. My work is bold, colourful and detailed. I combine mixed media to produce experimental effects. As well as painting local scenes and portraits, my more personal work is expressive, with an ethereal quality, conveying powerful human emotions.
