We like everything about Purple Flow by Tracy-Ann Marrison: the colours, the texture, the composition and the rhythm. Part of the Flow Series, the artwork is created in acrylic, mixed media and metal leaf on canvas.
The colours, from dark purple to light purple and white with hints of blue, turquoise and yellow, are flowing naturally from one another and spreading on the canvas like a wave, hypnotising us with their movement. And this is precisely the effect the artwork has on our eyes: we are captured by its texture and rhythm, inviting the viewer to explore, to discover and to fall in love with the artwork.
The passion for art transpires not just from the artist’s work but from her statement too: “I had always been creative and decided to follow my passion for art. I studied at the Cyprus College of Art from 2004- 2007 and continue to develop my work by attending portrait and life drawing sessions along with other workshops”.
“I work from my studio in Derbyshire and create original artworks and undertake commissioned work. I hope to continue this wonderful journey into the world of art and I am so thankful to have the opportunity to follow my heart and passion”.
