About the artwork
This is a still life painting with Bob, the cat from next door, being inquisitive. He likes to get in the picture and thinks it's all about him. I set up the still life and when Bob came to visit included him which I think made it a bit special. This painting is in Pastels which gives the picture vibrancy and colour. I won an award for my pastels with the pastel society exhibiting in the Mall Galleries London. The award was Henri Roche Pastels - a very expensive brand dating back to the French Impressionists. It makes me feel very excited thinking I am using the same formula as they did for their beautiful paintings. This painting is framed

Patricia Clements
Patricia, an award winning artist, gained a scholarship to The West Sussex College of Arts and Crafts and went on to study painting and life painting at The Central School of Art. She was influenced by Bruce Barnden, Art Master at school. then by Lesley Cole, Head of Painting at the The Central School of Art and lastly by the French Impressionists. Working in oils and latterly pastels, producing still lifes, landscapes and nudes of scenes that range from Twickenham to St.Tropez, Patricia's resulting work reflects the vibrant colours and brilliant light of the South of France.
