Based in United Kingdom
I grew up in Africa surrounded by wild animals, warm breezes and the smell of linseed and oil paint, watching my mother create. I drove my teachers wild colourfully, and to my mind skillfully, decorating my homework until finally some bright educator suggested I take up a career in art.
I qualified as a graphic designer and rose through some of the foremost advertising agencies in Johannesburg to become a Creative Head. My time was taken up between raising my boys, painting with the Watercolour Society of SA, running an ad agency, plus teaching art on the side to any friend who wanted to while away the weekend hours, slapping paint on canvas and talking nonsense.
This has lead me to the cooler shores of England, concentrating finally on my art and trying to capture some of the turbulent history, colours and fun I see wherever I go. I hope you find the same in my art.
